The T‑series (SA213) covers small‑bore boiler/superheater tubes; the P‑series (SA335) covers the same chemistry in large‑bore pipe. Cross‑substitution is allowed only with engineer approval.

For ASME-coded boilers in the Americas, A210C is the closest analogue, and A106 Gr.C covers high-temperature pipe. A516 Gr. 60 is the most common cross-border substitute but is not a drop-in replacement for PED jobs unless normalized + stress-relieved and engineer-approved. For China domestic projects, Q245R and 25MnG are the native equivalents. Substitution always requires matching heat treatment state and the responsible engineer's written approval.
