PETROL STEEL Strengthens Its Presence in the East African Market at the East Africa Steel Summit 2026
PESCO is an international partner for pipeline solutions in oil & gas, energy, and industrial EPC projects. PESCO has grown its presence in the East African industrial market by taking part in the East Africa Steel Summit 2026, held in Nairobi, Kenya, in early July 2026.
The event drew steel manufacturers, distributors, engineering companies, contractors, project owners, industrial buyers, logistics providers, and other professionals from across East Africa and international markets. For PETROL STEEL, the summit was much more than just an industry exhibition. “It was an opportunity to meet customers face-to-face, to learn about their current procurement needs, to discuss active projects, and to strengthen relationships with partners throughout the region.
With over 20 years of international export, we have learned that sending quotations usually does not build long-term business. It is built on constant communication, dependable delivery, and the ability to respond when customers truly need products.

Just what we saw in Nairobi.
Meeting the customers and understanding the market
PETROL STEEL scheduled several meetings with local customers and business partners before the exhibition opened. We enjoyed meeting with current customers and new companies interested in our pipeline products and industrial supply capabilities over the event.
It was especially rewarding to reconnect with long-standing, familiar customers such as Doshi Company and Apex Steel, as well as many other professionals in the regional steel and industrial sectors.
In online discussions, we couldn't achieve the depth of understanding we obtain in face-to-face communication. We are ready to discuss your current inventory needs, project deadlines, preferred standards, material grades, product specifications, packaging requirements, shipping methods, delivery expectations, and more.

More importantly, many customers attended the exhibition with real purchasing needs and active orders to discuss.
This was one of the best outcomes for us from the event.
The discussions were not simply about whether PETROL STEEL could supply a certain steel pipe, fitting, flange, or valve. Customers asked about our response time, quality control, production coordination, documentation, and how products would arrive on time for their projects.
These are precisely the areas where our international project supply experience comes in useful.
Responding Quickly to Urgent Market Demand
Not all East African customers want long-term procurement plans. Often they need products now because an engineering project is undERWay, or construction has begun, or existing inventory is not enough.
We received inquiries during and after the summit for products and specifications urgently needed by the local market.
For the products we had in stock, our team quickly organized the warehouse inventory and conducted yet another round of pre-shipment verification. This involved checking the appearance, dimensions, quantities, markings, bundling, packaging, and other customer-specific requirements before shipment.
For us, timely delivery is more than just stock availability.
The bigger thing is to ensure the right stuff is actually ready to go out the door.
Sometimes a customer has an urgent need for a particular size, material grade, standard, quantity, marking method, or packaging arrangement. Mistakes at the loading stage can lead to delays that cost much more than the original product.
Hence, our approach is straightforward:
Check first. Confirm carefully. Ship quickly.
This practical approach is especially vital for EPC contractors, pipeline contractors, industrial distributors, and end users who need dependable materials to keep projects moving.
Coordinating Production for Project Orders

Not all needs can be met with off-the-shelf products.
For common products and standard specifications, PETROL STEEL can organize production with qualified manufacturing partners. Normal delivery time is about 15 days, depending on the product type, quantity, and production conditions.
We have a different approach for non-standard or custom products.
Upon receipt of an order, our sales and technical teams collaborate with the customer to confirm drawings, specifications, dimensions, materials, manufacturing processes, inspection requirements, and other technical details.
Once the technical requirements are fully confirmed, we proceed with product design, tooling or mold development as required, and first-sample production.
Then we review and assess the first batch against the agreed requirements. Once we accept the sample, we go into full-scale production.
This can take more coordination than a normal stock order, but it greatly reduces the risk of miscommunications in mass production.
For international industrial purchasing, we believe ”technical clarification before production is always less expensive than resolving a problem after production."
Pipeline Solutions for Steel Supply
Our product portfolio includes seamless and welded steel pipes, line pipes, pipe fittings, induction bends, flanges, industrial valves, gaskets, pipeline accessories, and specialized products made from carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, alloy steel, nickel-based superalloys, and CRA-clad materials.
However, our job is not just product supply.
For international EPC projects, the procurement process often involves multiple requirements at once: technical specifications, manufacturing sources, inspection, documentation, packaging, logistics, customs coordination, and delivery schedules.
PETROL STEEL therefore works as a project-oriented industrial supply partner, connecting qualified manufacturing resources in China with customers and projects in international markets.
This supply chain model allows us to choose the right manufacturing sources based on the material, standard, size, production process, testing requirements, and delivery schedule, instead of forcing all requirements through a single production source.
Building Stronger Relationships with Kenya’s Energy and Industrial Sector
Following the East Africa Steel Summit, PETROL STEEL was also invited to visit and meet organizations involved in Kenya's energy, petroleum, infrastructure, engineering, logistics, and industrial sectors.

We met with organizations and industry leaders, including Kenya Pipeline Company Limited, the National Oil Corporation of Kenya, large local EPC companies, industrial groups, contractors, and project-related organizations.

We had meetings with company executives, procurement professionals, project managers, and other decision-makers to discuss supplier registration, project requirements, procurement cooperation, and possible long-term business relationships.
For some of these topics, we have already moved to supplier registration and subsequent cooperation agreements.
PETROL STEEL attaches great importance to these meetings, as they signify a transition from supplying products to the market to establishing a more permanent local business presence.
East Africa is an increasingly important market for infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, and industrial development. Kenya, in particular, serves not only as a major local market but also as an important commercial and logistics gateway to the wider East African region.
So we do not view Kenya as a place for short-term sales.
We want to develop sustainable relationships and a stronger long-term presence in the region.
Developing Logistics and Warehousing Partnerships
Reliable industrial supply doesn’t stop at the factory gate.
For customers buying steel pipes, fittings, flanges, and other industrial products internationally, logistics, warehousing, inland transportation, container handling, and delivery coordination can directly affect project schedules and total procurement costs.
We also had the pleasure of meeting major logistics and warehousing companies during our visit to Nairobi, such as Siginon Group and Mitchell Cotts.
We discussed potential collaboration in local warehousing, logistics coordination, distribution of steel products, and supply chain services.
We believe that PETROL STEEL’s international sourcing and project supply capabilities, together with reliable local logistics resources, can provide a more efficient procurement experience for customers.
East Africa: From Market Opportunity to Long-Term Commitment
Our recent conversations with customers confirmed what we are increasingly realizing: demand for reliable industrial products and professional supply partners in the region is strong, as demonstrated at the East Africa Steel Summit 2026.
Customers demand more than just competitive pricing. They need suppliers who grasp technical requirements, are responsive, deliver accurate documentation, coordinate quality inspections, and adhere to project schedules.
This closely aligns with PETROL STEEL's long-term positioning.
For more than 20 years, we have supplied pipeline products and industrial components to customers in more than 50 countries and supported more than 350 international projects and customer applications.
Our experience has taught us that trust ultimately builds international business.
A quotation can open a conversation. A competitive price can win an order. But it is reliable execution that builds long-term customer relationships.
We are building our growing presence in Kenya and East Africa on exactly this principle.
We will continue to strengthen our relationships with local EPC contractors, distributors, industrial companies, project owners, energy companies, pipeline contractors, logistics providers, and other strategic partners.
At the same time, we will continue to connect East African customers with qualified manufacturing resources in China and provide reliable pipeline products, industrial piping solutions, project supply services, quality coordination, technical documentation, and international logistics support.
Looking Ahead
It was a major milestone to have us at the East Africa Steel Summit 2026, but it is only one step on a much longer journey.
Our confidence in the East African market has been strengthened by the meetings in Nairobi, the customer orders discussed during the exhibition, the factory and stock coordination that followed, the visits to major energy and industrial organizations, and the discussions with local logistics and warehousing companies.
More importantly, they have reinforced our belief that PETROL STEEL can contribute value beyond product supply.

We aim to be the partner customers can rely on when a project needs the right product, the right specification, the right documentation, and the right delivery at the right time.
As PETROL STEEL continues to expand its international market presence, East Africa will remain an important part of our global development strategy.
From China to Kenya, and from manufacturing sources to international EPC projects, our commitment remains unchanged:
Global Supply. Professional Service. Long-Term Partnership.
