    Description

    In extreme operating environments, such as global petrochemical processing, deep-sea oil and gas extraction, and nuclear energy, weld-overlay bends serve as critical components within piping systems. These components face the triple challenge of corrosion, abrasion, and high pressure over extended periods; consequently, their performance directly determines the safety and service life of the entire pipeline network. Leveraging its extensive technical expertise accumulated over years in the pipeline sector, PETORL STEEL CO., LTD. has collaborated with numerous domestic research institutions to jointly develop advanced weld-overlay bend technology. By providing global industrial clients with solutions characterized by superior protection, cost-effectiveness, and customized services, our company has established itself as a highly trusted leader in weld-overlay pipeline materials, such as PESCO cladding pipes, PESCO cladding fittings, PESCO Clad Bends, PESCO cladding elbows, and PESCO cladding flanges, etc, within the international market.

    PESCO cladding bends feature a composite structure—comprising a carbon steel substrate overlaid with a special alloy cladding layer—that perfectly resolves the performance limitations inherent in pipelines made of single-material alloys. The outer pipe is constructed from high-strength carbon steel, capable of withstanding extreme pressures exceeding 100 MPa, thereby ensuring the structural stability of the pipeline system in high-pressure environments. The inner wall is lined using an automated cladding process to deposit a 3–5 mm thick layer of specialized materials—such as nickel-based alloys or duplex stainless steel—forming a dense protective barrier. This barrier is capable of withstanding the long-term corrosive effects of hydrogen sulfide gas at concentrations of up to 15%, while offering wear resistance that is 15 to 20 times greater than that of ordinary carbon steel pipes. In deep-sea oil and gas projects located in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, PESCO Clad Bends successfully replaced traditional solid-alloy bends. This transition extended the pipeline's service life from just 3 years to over 25 years and reduced operation and maintenance costs by 60%, thereby generating significant economic benefits for the clients.

    To ensure the utmost stability in product quality, PETORL STEEL has introduced an intelligent overlay welding production line. Utilizing a proprietary 8-axis synchronized control system, the line achieves single-pass, continuous overlay welding on the complex inner surfaces of the cladding bending pipes. An arc voltage tracking system dynamically adjusts the welding torch position in real-time, maintaining a tolerance of less than 0.2 mm, to guarantee a uniform and consistent overlay thickness. Furthermore, a dual-layer gas shielding mechanism effectively prevents oxidation defects during the welding process, resulting in an overlay layer with a metallurgical bond strength exceeding 450 MPa. Every overlay-welded bent pipe undergoes a rigorous battery of 12 inspections, cladding cryogenic impact testing at -196°C, metallographic analysis, and corrosion testing. Consequently, all overlay-welded products, such as PESCO cladding pipes, PESCO cladding fittings, PESCO Clad Bends, PESCO cladding elbows, and PESCO cladding flanges, etc, fully comply with authoritative international standards such as API, DNV, and ISO, providing global cladding pipeline users with the superior products that meet the highest industry benchmarks.

    CRA CLAD Pipelines are composite pipes made by bonding a Corrosion-Resistant Alloy (CRA) layer to a carbon steel pipe. This combination provides excellent corrosion resistance from the CRA layer and strength from carbon steel, making them suitable for demanding environments like oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical. CRA CLAD Pipelines are used for the pipeline transportation systems for liquid hydrocarbons and other liquids. PESCO Clad Bends can be used for gas transmission and distribution piping systems. PESCO Clad Bends are produced according to the CRA clad standard API 5LD. PESCO Clad Bends are manufactured by the weld overlay process with hydroforming and other means of seamless or welded inner pipes. All certification types shall be fully traceable in strict accordance with BS EN 10204-3.2  per  ARN-L-MS-026  Section  18  CRA  Clad/Lined  Pipe  Material Specification. In case of high temperature service,  Charpy impact tests shall be conducted on a strain-aged sample. The strain aging shall be carried out at 250 °C for one hour the amount of strain applied should be 5%. Base Materials, Carbon Steel, Hi-Yield Grades, Low Alloy Steels. PESCO Clad Bends are made by the Corrosion Resistant Alloys, such as 410, 304L, 316L, 321, 254SMo, N02201, N02205, N06625, N08825, N04400, Titanium Alloy, etc. The thickness of the Cladding Material of PESCO Clad Bends is 2-5mm.  Thickness of Base Materials of PESCO Clad Bends is 8-65mm.
